… Only YOU can make it shine
Wise quotes:
‘Food is your medicine, colour is your preventative medicine, essential to support our well-being. Count your colours not your calories. Forget five a day, choose seven, nine or twelve instead.
June McLeod (author)
‘We are not only sustained by the substances in food, but from its stored light. We not only ingest calories, vitamins, proteins and minerals BUT the entire bio-information of the plant’
Jack Allanach (author)
‘Life of every living thing is enclosed in a covering of lights, Light has deep effects upon our health’
Khwaja Shamsuddin Azeemi (author)
‘Eat not unclean foods bought from far countries, but eat always that which your trees bear. For your God knows well what is needful for you and where and when. And he gives to all peoples of all kingdoms for food that which is best for each’

Discerning Times
During this current time, where great change has been put upon us without warning or preparation, how do we now manage our lives to take control? In the centre of all the recent events is our health. So much advice has been provided in the media and social media about what we should or should not be doing to optimise our health that it can all get a little over-whelming and also contradicting. With so much going through our minds and so much change in our lives are we able to prioritise our health at a time when it is most necessary? …
… The first step is to believe in yourself, love yourself, be forgiving to yourself and last but not least trust in yourself that you together with nature contain all the tools to be your own healer and medicine. Here are some steps to guide you towards a body in balance.
Assessing your emotions
So what do we do?
It has been proven that every disease originates from an emotional issue and every emotional state is connected to a particular organ in our body. For example anger is connected to the liver; sadness, happiness, thoughtfulness, surprise and anxiety is connected to the heart; fear is connected to the kidneys; sadness and anxiety is also associated with the lungs.
Out of all the adverse emotions listed how much of these emotions have you experienced recently?:
· Sadness
· Anger
· Anxiety
· Fear
· Surprise
And in comparison out of the good feeling emotions, how many of these emotions have you experienced recently?:
· Happiness
· Thoughtfulness
How would your personal circumstances balance the two groups of emotions on a balancing scale? Would it tip to the adverse feelings or the good or would you be in balance? This question may give you a quick real time indication as to where you are emotionally at this time and an additional understanding of how this may be affecting your health. If your personal assessment tipped to the adverse feelings, then you need to think about what steps you can make to bring your body back into balance and harmony in order to prevent further stress to your organs and health.
This little light of mine, I’m gonna let is shine
Moving on to another area of consideration. Just like your mobile phone and lap top requires continuous charging of its batteries with electricity to stop its charge from dying and just like your light bulb has to be provided with electricity for it to turn on its light, your body also needs regular charging, particularly when we feel depleted and zapped of energy. Your body and the earth are both conductors of electricity and when contact is made there is a transfer of charges (electrons) which helps bring the body to equilibrium.
We are not only surrounded by an invisible pulsating spectrum of lights known as our Aura but we also have inner lights that need to be kept alight with the correct balance of colours in order to feed our organs with its life giving energy. These spiritual inner lights, also referred to as energy centres or chakra’s run from the crown of our heads to the base of our spine, each containing all the spectrum of colours but each dominated by one colour and held in balance by a complementary colour. These seven energy centres nourish their associated glands and nearby organs with the vortex (circular swirl) of lights they emit. If there is a blockage or imbalance of the free flowing light in any of these energy centres their associated organs are not energised which could lead to disease in the body. Our bodies are made to conserve light not lose light, losing light leads to imbalances in the body and consequently disease.
Disease is simply termed as a dis-ease; ‘dis’ meaning opposite and ‘ease’ meaning a tranquil/peaceful state; DIS-EASE therefore stating the body is NOT in a tranquil or peaceful state .
Sunlight provides us with the white light containing the full spectrum of colours which feeds the body with the colours it needs to bring nourishment and balance. The term sun bathing is really colour bathing. The food we eat, the air we breathe and the water we drink are all nourished by the sun so its goodness can be taken in many ways. It is absorbed through our skin and eyes and is the natural source of Vitamin D, vital for the absorption of calcium which supports strong bones and teeth. Examine the difference in your mood when the sun is out compared to when the grey winter sky’s draw in. The sun is the perfect tonic for uplifting our moods and nourishing the body.
So how can we start taking back control over our bodies based on the areas highlighted above?
In this industrialised world we have been drawn into we have pulled away from nature and its natural healing power. It is stated that illness started when we moved away from the natural healing colours of outdoor living and swapped it for the artificial living of indoors.
The following seven points are some solutions you can consider for a great start. They are my suggestions based on my understanding in this area. They are freely provided by Mother Nature and none invasive.
Mother Nature is calling back her children to nurture and heal them, go seek her and embrace her open arms.
1. Connect to the earth (GROUNDING/EARTHING)
o The earth is your power grid, like putting a plug in the socket our bodies need to be connected to the earth to be recharged. Stand with your bare feet on the earth where there is signs of life, growth, greenery or on the rocks and sands at a beach or in the sea. The earth is electromagnetic, ask or call upon the earth for its life giving energy to connect to your energy then go with your intuition as to how long this process will take to get this connection (usually 30 to 40 minutes). Continue to stand till you feel you have made connection, then give thanks. It is great if you could do this every day, but as often as you can will start making a huge difference to your well-being. NOTE: avoid if you have any open wounds to your feet or soles of the feet, wait until any open wounds have healed. If taking warfarin discuss closer monitoring with your healthcare worker.
o Hugging a tree is also great for connecting with the earths energy field
2. Filter in happiness and joy with its life giving energy
o Sing a song. Play an instrument if you are a musician. Listen to some feel good music of your choice; jazz, classical, 532 Hz, 432 Hz, Tibetan singing bowl or simply ring a bell. When you have found which suits you best, relax in the vibrations it gives you. Also dance, laugh out loud, smile, be merry, even if you have to do these spontaneously they all give a feel good impact. They all release good vibrational energy in the space around you and are healing within you.
3. Speak good things
o Express love, show love. Your words and thoughts send out vibrations so make sure they are good, wise and just.
o At least once a day tell someone you love them and also tell it to yourself
4. Give gratitude to yourself and others
o We seldom reflect on our strengths, abilities and accomplishments so acknowledge this with self-gratitude. Then also give gratitude to those around you who show you love and respect.
o At least once a day give gratitude to someone and also give gratitude to yourself
o Gratitude should be HEART FELT
5. Fill your Sola Plexus Chakra (the area under your heart) with liquid gold
o We have all heard about the importance of green plant based foods but the golden foods are also important for their purifying properties. Include regular golden yellow/orange ‘live’ plant foods. Chew till it turns to water in your mouth or you can juice or blend them. The idea with juicing and blending is to consume the live enzymes which aids digestion releasing the nutrients more efficiently into your body’s system. Also, the less breaking down of food your body has to do is the less energy it has to burn therefore the more energy is has to focus on other important matters to keep you healthy. The yellow/orange plant foods would have absorbed the red (from the earth) the green (from the stems and leaves) and blue (from the sky); combined these colours make a great healing combination.
o The yellow eliminates waste and toxins, stimulates mental clarity and achievement
o The orange aids digestion, supports the lungs and immunity and also brings joyfullness
o The red is good for the blood and circulation giving energy and courage
o Green brings balance to the heart and supports calmness, love and wealth
o Blue is a great healer, cools and reduces inflammation in the body, controls the metabolic rate and a great colour to give confidence in your communications
o Examples of these foods are: bananas, pineapples, honeydew melons, mangoes, yellow gooseberries, yellow peppers, yams, parsnips
6. Include more fruits and vegetables which are naturally grown locally and in season
o The seasonal changes in wet and dry weather as well as the pH in the soil and the season’s different temperatures promote varying concentrations of nutrients in crops which mature at specific times of the year. I believe Mother Nature is providing us with these seasonal crops to support our health during the different seasonal changes due to the different nutrients each season promotes. Choose organic varieties where possible. Be aware that fertilisers and chemicals tend to be added to enhance production to extend crop availability out of season and also to sustain imported crops during travel. It has been proven that preservatives diminishes the life giving ‘light’ provided by the sun, stored in fruits and vegetables which in turn prevents us from obtaining its ‘light giving goodness’. Also if you have tasted a naturally grown and ripened fruit it will have a far more superior taste compared to a chemically treated one which has been picked before it is ripened for import purposes.
o Support your local farmers and become familiar with the fruits and vegetables that are in season for your area. Here are a few more reasons why seasonal fruits and vegetables are a great choice:
tastier
fresher
better quality (compared to imports and those grown out of season)
better value for money
better for the planet
more nutrient dense
reconnects your body to the cycles of Mother Nature
7. REGULAR SUNLIGHT
o Soon after waking try to step outside or at an open window and take in the early morning sun on your bear skin with deep breaths and a smile to restart your body clock for the day ahead
o Aim for regular doses of sunlight throughout the day particularly if you spend most of your day under artificial lighting
o Some research suggests that darker or brighter coloured clothing offer better UV protection that lighter colours while in the sun. One hundred percent cotton clothing allows your skin to breathe
o Other benefits of natural sunlight:
Immune boosting
Regulates hormones
Relieves stress
Supports metabolism
Supports a healthy weight
Has antibacterial properties
The brighter the light within the healthier your
Mind, Soul, Body and Aura
